Can I embed a map on my website or blog?

You can! Roadtrippers creates embeddable maps for both trips and places. It's an interactive way to display your road trip or an interesting place on your own website or blog. Give friends or readers more context by not just writing about your trip or places you've visited, but showing them.

Follow the steps below to generate a code and note that this feature is only available in the web app on our desktop site. Once you get the code from our site, just drop the markup into the source code on your website/blog and you are good to go!

Trips

  1. Open your trip on the map.
  2. Below the trip name, click the share icon (↑).

  3. In the Share trip modal, click Embed.
  4. Customize the width & height* and click Generate.
  5. Copy the embed code and paste it into your website or blog.

*Note that for the "Generate Markup Code" button to be clickable, the width/height must be set first.

Places

You can also show off interesting places you've visited or are planning to see on an upcoming trip by clicking the Share Place () button and following the same steps above to generate a code.
