Absolutely! You may have noticed what we call the "route shade" while viewing your trip on the map. This is an area around your trip that can be expanded or contracted by adjusting the distance setting. This setting indicates how far off your route you are willing to go to visit places and limits where places load when exploring our categories while planning a trip.
When you're opening categories on a trip, the radius is automatically set to 30 miles on the desktop site and 5 miles in the mobile app. See below for more info on how to adjust this.
- Open your trip on the map.
- Click the Search and Explore bar.
- Choose a category to display those locations on the map. This will open the Explore panel.
- At the top of the Explore panel, set how far from your route you'd like to search.
- Load your trip on the map.
- Select a category.
- Tap the Globe icon at the right of the screen.
- Tap Distance From Route and adjust the distance as needed.
- Tap Close.
- Load your trip on the map.
- Select a category.
- Tap the Globe icon at the right of the screen.
- Tap and drag the circle on the distance slider.
- Swipe down to close the Map Layers screen.
