How can I share trips with friends?

Roadtrippers has a few different sharing options so that you can share trips, maps, or places with friends!

  Sharing vs. Collaborating

When you share a trip, your friends will be able to look at the trip you planned but they will not be able to make changes or suggestions for the trip. Don't fret, while the friend you share your trip with will need to create a Roadtrippers account to view the trip, they do not need to purchase a membership, even for viewing the largest of trips!

Trip collaboration is a feature available to Roadtrippers Pro and Premium members. Trip collaboration allows you to work on a trip with your fellow travel companions even if they don't have a Roadtrippers membership. You can learn more about our Collaboration feature by clicking here.

Share Trip

Website iOS App Android App

Load your trip on the map and click the Share Trip button in the upper right. You'll see options to share on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, share via email, or copy the URL to paste anywhere.

Next to the Share option, you can also copy/paste an embeddable code for your trip's map. Embeddable maps are a beautiful interactive way to display your road trip, bucket list, or place on your own website or blog.

Sharing the map can be helpful when trying to get input on a trip from someone else. For example, if you are planning a trip with friends to Los Angeles, you could share the Accommodations category in that area with them.

Get started by zooming into an area on the map and selecting a category from the discovery bar. Once you have places loaded on the map, just click the Share Map button in the upper right. You'll see options to share on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, share via email, or copy the URL to paste anywhere.

Find an awesome place on that map that you want to share? You can easily share any place by clicking the Share Place button located in the upper right on every place page.
