Find campgrounds, RV parks, dispersed camping on Roadtrippers

With Roadtrippers, you can easily find great camping spots—whether along a planned route or in a general area without a trip! Use the Places to Camp or Campendium category on the desktop site to plan ahead, or on the mobile app to find sites while on the go.

Scroll through this article to learn how to use categories and filters to find the perfect spot to park your RV or set up camp! You can also click a title in the list below to jump to a specific section.

Places to Camp vs. Campendium

We offer two category options to help you find a great place to camp!

Our Places to Camp category (campfire icon) shows RV camping and tent camping options.

The Campendium category (trailer icon) is our RV-focused camping layer, displaying RV campsites, dump stations, and overnight parking options. If you're familiar with Campendium, this category provides a similar experience!

When you use the Campendium category, you'll notice color coded pins for different types of places. To view a legend of what each color means, see our guide here

Explore Camping on the Map

Click the Website or Mobile App tabs below to learn how to view camping options on the map. No matter which you use, here are a few key things to keep in mind:

  • The camping locations shown are determined by the part of the map you're viewing and any filters you've applied.
  • There is a limit to how many places will appear on the map at once - so the more you zoom in, the more places you will see in a given area.
Website Mobile App

Open the Roadtrippers map (https://maps.roadtrippers.com/) to search for a place to camp without a trip planned. You can also use the search bar to go directly to a specific city or point of interest.
