How to Upgrade Your Membership

Are you a Roadtrippers Basic or Pro member looking for even more features? Sounds like Roadtrippers Premium is what you need!

If you already have a Basic or Pro membership and are ready to upgrade to a higher tier, no need to wait until the end of your current membership, you can upgrade at any time! We'll prorate your price so you can keep planning without losing the amount you already paid for a lower level of membership. You'll get all the access provided with the membership level you upgrade to as soon as your upgrade goes through!

Memberships purchased on our website

If you purchased a Roadtrippers subscription on our website, you can upgrade your subscription from your Profile Settings on our website.

  1. Go to https://roadtrippers.com/ and click your profile icon in the top right.
  2. Click the Edit Profile button.
  3. Go to the Subscription Details section.
  4. Click the Manage your plan link.
  5. Enter your email address to request a sign-in link for our billing portal.
  6. After signing into the billing portal, click Update Plan and choose the membership tier you want to switch to. You'll be upgraded immediately and charged a prorated amount for the price difference based on the time remaining on your current membership. Your renewal date will remain the same as it was originally.
Purchased on iOS / Apple App Store

If you purchased a Roadtrippers membership in our iOS app on an iPhone or iPad, you need to upgrade your subscription through Apple. Follow the steps below or learn more about managing Apple subscriptions by clicking here.

You'll be upgraded immediately and will pay full price for the new membership. Your new membership will be active for a year from the date of your upgrade, and you'll receive a refund for the remainder of your original subscription.

Roadtrippers is not able to assist with upgrades for Apple subscriptions. You will need to upgrade within your Apple settings or contact Apple if you need help doing this.

From your iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap the Roadtrippers subscription.

From your Mac:

  1. Open the App Store app.
  2. Click your name. If you can't find your name, click Sign In.
  3. Click Account Settings.
  4. Scroll to Subscriptions, then click Manage.
  5. Next to the Roadtrippers subscription, click Edit.
Purchased on Android / Google Play Store

If you purchased a Roadtrippers subscription in our Android app, you need to update your subscription within the Google Play Store subscription manager. This can be found on your Android device within the Google Play Store options menu.

  2. At the top right, click your profile icon.
  3. Click Payments & subscriptions.
  4. Next to the Roadtrippers subscription, select Manage.

If you are unsure where you purchased your membership, please contact us and let us know the email and/or username on your Roadtrippers member account and we'll point you in the right direction!

How to Downgrade Your Membership

Don't need all of the features your Premium or Pro membership is providing? You can downgrade your membership to a lower tier if that works best for you. Your new membership will take effect the next time your membership renews, and on that date you will be charged the new membership rate. You'll continue to enjoy the perks of your higher level membership until then!

If you purchased a Roadtrippers subscription on our website, you can update your subscription from your Profile Settings on our website.

  3. Go to the Subscription Details section.

Purchased on iOS / Apple App Store

If you purchased a Roadtrippers membership in our iOS app on an iPhone or iPad, you need to downgrade your subscription through Apple. Follow the steps below or learn more about managing Apple subscriptions by clicking here.

Roadtrippers is not able to assist with management for Apple subscriptions. You will need to update within your Apple settings or contact Apple if you need help doing this.

From your iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap the Roadtrippers subscription.

From your Mac:

  1. Open the App Store app.
  2. Click your name. If you can't find your name, click Sign In.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

Note that auto-renewal is on by default for all subscribers. The steps to cancel your subscription depend on how you signed up initially. Click the appropriate section below to view more information on how to cancel your subscription depending on where you signed up.

Canceling your subscription ensures that you won't be charged again. Keep in mind that after canceling, you will continue to have access to membership benefits for the remainder of your subscription.

Purchased on our website

If you purchased a Roadtrippers membership on our website, you can manage your subscription from your Profile Settings on our website.

  1. Go to https://roadtrippers.com/ and click your profile icon in the top right.
  2. Click the Edit Profile button.
  3. Go to the Subscription Details section.
  4. Click the "Disable Renewal" button to cancel your subscription. Note that if you see an Enable Renewal button instead, that means auto-renewal on your subscription is already disabled.



If you have Roadtrippers Premium access through a Roadpass Pro membership, you'll need to click the "Manage your plan" link below Subscription Details to cancel your subscription.

 

Purchased on iOS / Apple App Store

  4. Next to the Roadtrippers subscription, select Manage.
  5. In the confirmation pop-up, click Cancel subscription.

If you aren't sure where you a purchased Roadtrippers membership, please contact us and let us know the email and/or username on your Roadtrippers member account. We'll be able to confirm where your subscription was purchased and either cancel it for you or point you in the right direction if it needs to be canceled through Apple.

Refund Policy

All membership payments are non-refundable, per the Terms of Use agreed to upon signup.

If you’re a new user and started a free 1-week trial, you will not be charged until the trial has ended. To avoid being charged, you must cancel prior to the end of the trial. After the trial is over and the subscription is paid for, then you will have access to the membership benefits for the subscription period.

If you’re an existing member, your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel prior to the end of your subscription period. We have a no-refunds policy and send renewal reminder emails to remind you to review and manage your subscription prior to the renewal date.

  Apple Subscriptions

If your subscription was purchased in our iOS app and the subscription is listed under your Apple ID, your payment was processed directly by Apple and you must request a refund through the App Store by following the steps here. Roadtrippers cannot issue refunds for Apple purchases.
